About the activities
Games and activities are designed to build vocabulary, develop proofreading abilities, and improve speed and fluency in spelling.
Each of the following activities is available by grade-level and unit:

Students match words to spelling patterns.

Students drag-and-drop words in context to build their vocabulary knowledge.

Students use actual proofreading symbols to correct engaging reading passages.

Students compete against the computer in an online spelling bee.

About the Author, J. Richard Gentry, PhD
World-renowned as a keynote speaker, conference presenter, workshop facilitator, and author, Dr. Gentry is an acclaimed expert in the fields of literacy, beginning reading, and spelling development and has had a powerful impact on improving literacy in American schools.
Dr. Gentry, the author of several books on literacy, including The Science of Spelling, received a Ph.D. in Reading Education from the University of Virginia. For sixteen years, he taught Reading Education at Western Carolina University, where he directed the Reading Center.
